What cookies are
A “cookie” is a small text file created by some websites on the user’s computer upon access, in order to store and transport information. Cookies are sent from a web server to the user’s browser and stored on the computer; they are then re-sent to the website on subsequent visits.
Some operations cannot be performed without cookies, which in some cases are technically necessary. In other cases the site uses cookies to facilitate navigation or to provide services specifically requested.

Managing consent
